Northern Consulting provides the following services during construction:

• Awarding the contract and possession of site
• Verifying the necessary insurances and permits are in place
• Issuing instructions to the contractor in relation to the performance of the contract
• Assessing progress claims and providing payment certificates
• Assessing proposed variations and providing advice to the principal
• Providing contractual advice to both parties during a dispute
• Certifying practical completion and issuing of Final Certificate

As well as contract administration services, we provide the necessary inspections and certification of the works, against the drawings, specifications and standards.  We attend to pre-start meetings, regular inspections throughout construction, On-maintenance and Off-maintenance inspections, and preparation of as constructed drawings.

For structural projects we can also provide construction supervision for the purposes of a Form 16. We are happy to do this for projects that we were not commissioned to do the design.
